We are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. He is black and dark dark brown, shiney, a little on the thin side but a wonderful rottie child. He was adopted Oct 20 from the Lexington Humane soc. We have named him Batista Bombay. The other kids have accepted him, and made him feel at home. Thank you LHS for all you do for the animals, we are their voice.

Someone asked me not to forget about the cats, so I found this little guy. His story is on pet finder too, this is just a little portion.
Sammy, a 9-10 week old kitten, came to the rescue on 9/10/09 and went straight to the vet's office for treatment. He was taken in by a nice couple after they found him outside their home unable to use his back legs. They knew he would be euthanized at the local kill shelter so they contacted us to take him in. After being examined by the vet it was determined the only thing broken was one rib, but he did have a huge abscess on his back very close to his spinal cord. The vet suspects he was attacked and shook by a dog, which is what caused the abscess. The vet started Sammy on antibiotics to help with the infection and hoped this would improve his ability to use his rear legs.

Darma has been diagnosed with Glaucoma in both eyes. Medications were started, but sadly, one eye became so severe and painful that it had to be surgically removed. Darma's remaining eye has responded well to medications administered several times per day. The hope is that Darma will continue to do well on her medications and she will be able to keep her vision in her remaining eye.

KELPIE DOPPELGANGER & SWEET TATER auction.
Kelpie and Tater are headed to Houston Texas as I write this. The money generated from the auction was donated to 2 separate shelters. Dogs 2nd Chance in Munford, TN for Beary and Missy's Heart worm treatment and the other shelter is Halfway Home Pet Adoptions in Kansas City , MO for Mama Cass's Heart worm treatment.

I want to thank everyone for making this a great Halloween for animals. I made and sold a total of 17 witches for the furbabies and together We helped them a bunch. This listing is my last witch for this 2009 season that will be auctioned off on ebay. I already have a new and improved RaggyBelle in mind for the Haunting season of 2010, so be on the lookout. Battilda Soo Spookstone

There’s an old woman who lives deep in Spookstone Hollar I hear is a witch! The hollar itself was named after her family & they either died out or moved off long ago but she stayed. I heared she had a fellar & he did her wrong. He left out or should I say he ain’t been found to this very day. Her name is Battildah Soo Spookstone & she is a sight if you ever get to lay eyes on her. With it being close to Halloween just keep your eyes peeled to the sky & watch for that shadow that crosses the moon, that’ll be Battildah. And for all you men that do yer women wrong… well, story goes all a wronged woman has to do is go out on a clear night & call to the breeze. Yep, lots of ol boys have come up missing here bouts. So let this be a lesson to you men folk. Treat yer woman right or you will see a swarm of black bats coming at ya & right smack dab in the middle of them bats will be Battildah & she will be in foul mood. Nobody knows what happens next. Nobody wants to find out….

Ever heard of a Doppelganer? I hear tell it means something skeery like a spirit or haint double. Then there is Kelpie Doppelganger. Now that ol woman is skeery I’m here to tell you. Kelpie’s got long scraggly hair and got this ol flea bitten cat that is just mean as sin. Its getting close to All Hallows eve and you can bet Kelpie and that ol cat Sweet Tater will be out rip roarin cross the evening sky. You will hear Sweet Tater a howling long before you see em.
