Tater taking a break, he has to work so hard around the place. You know, getting up to eat, going out to pee, turning over.
Hello all, its been awhile since I have been on. I get in such a funk after Halloween is over with. I have started a off season project and that is making coats for big boned dogs. Yep I said it. And what brought it all about you ask?? Well I ordered a set of pj's for my dobie, the description said XXL will fit Rottweilers, Labs, Dobermans and so on. Well I dont know what kind of Rotties Labs and Dobies THEY have but I couldnt get it over his head let alone down to his legs. Not only did I get whammied once, I did it again. But not anymore I am making coats for LARGE Breeds and when I get one listed I will have a pic of it on a full sized dog. lol.

We are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. He is black and dark dark brown, shiney, a little on the thin side but a wonderful rottie child. He was adopted Oct 20 from the Lexington Humane soc. We have named him Batista Bombay. The other kids have accepted him, and made him feel at home. Thank you LHS for all you do for the animals, we are their voice.

This was my last witch for the 2009 Haunting season she is off to Texas. Thank you S.E. you are a wonderful collector and when it comes to the furbabies your generosity is boundless. Keep a watch on this blog for the 2010 RaggyBelle I have a new idea. Have a SOULful Halloween everyone.
Someone asked me not to forget about the cats, so I found this little guy. His story is on pet finder too, this is just a little portion.
Sammy, a 9-10 week old kitten, came to the rescue on 9/10/09 and went straight to the vet's office for treatment. He was taken in by a nice couple after they found him outside their home unable to use his back legs. They knew he would be euthanized at the local kill shelter so they contacted us to take him in. After being examined by the vet it was determined the only thing broken was one rib, but he did have a huge abscess on his back very close to his spinal cord. The vet suspects he was attacked and shook by a dog, which is what caused the abscess. The vet started Sammy on antibiotics to help with the infection and hoped this would improve his ability to use his rear legs.

This is where part of the money from Persimmon was donated.. I copied this from Darma's page on petfinder. Dont forget shelter dogs die every hour adopt love please!!!!
Darma has been diagnosed with Glaucoma in both eyes. Medications were started, but sadly, one eye became so severe and painful that it had to be surgically removed. Darma's remaining eye has responded well to medications administered several times per day. The hope is that Darma will continue to do well on her medications and she will be able to keep her vision in her remaining eye.

Battilda Soo Spookstone

There’s an old woman who lives deep in Spookstone Hollar I hear is a witch! The hollar itself was named after her family & they either died out or moved off long ago but she stayed. I heared she had a fellar & he did her wrong. He left out or should I say he ain’t been found to this very day. Her name is Battildah Soo Spookstone & she is a sight if you ever get to lay eyes on her. With it being close to Halloween just keep your eyes peeled to the sky & watch for that shadow that crosses the moon, that’ll be Battildah. And for all you men that do yer women wrong… well, story goes all a wronged woman has to do is go out on a clear night & call to the breeze. Yep, lots of ol boys have come up missing here bouts. So let this be a lesson to you men folk. Treat yer woman right or you will see a swarm of black bats coming at ya & right smack dab in the middle of them bats will be Battildah & she will be in foul mood. Nobody knows what happens next. Nobody wants to find out….

Chiroptera Bellfry

Guys and ghouls, manifesting for your viewing pleasure Chiroptera Bellfry in her go to meeting hat. This is one of my earlier doll designs I happened upon. I had cut the witch out from last year and laid it up, you know when you put something somewhere so you don’t LOOSE it. Anyhoo she is draped with a heavy cheesecloth dress and cape and living up to her name has a few bats around.
The moneys made from this auction went to Help Nadia a beautiful Rottie that had a large tumor on her chest and had split open. To make a sad story happy her surgery was a success she is now healing in a foster home. Go to her page and read more.....

Sunday, September 6, 2009

We made it offical Lanee Bugg is now one of the family, we adopted her last week. Lanee joins Abbigayle, IzzeBelle, Aullyver and all the cats, let me get a breath here-- Spooky Tooth, Rose, Drucilla, Butterbean, Cornbread, Iggy, Stardust, Bittersweet, Roach, John Henry, Booger, Ratty kat, and last and the least String Bean. Whew that was like naming Santas Reindeer.

I listed a new witch tonight, it goes like this....
It ain’t easy being green altho Creepy Murtle Greengrimmace makes the best out of it. Seems like the closer it gets to Halloween the greener Murt gets. She wears her best girly girl sparkle dress that really shimmers in the moonlit nights. A glitter jol is on the front of her attire since this is her ‘mostest’ favorite bewitching holiday. Murt is about 17 inches long and sits a broom very lady-like. Her arms are wired on so that they can move up and down. The broom is tied at her bum and knees. She is carrying a Jack o Lantern Ornament, The hatband is leather and a nice little jewelry finding is attached as a buckle. .

Spivy Spiderwack

EEEKKK did you see that shadow? Either that was a gigantic bat or it was ol Spivy Spiderwack out for a gasp of evening air. Yep it was Spivy, cruising across the moon making wicked silhouettes on the ground below. This gal has got it going on she has a flocked webbing ruffle at the hem and a to die for bustle on the back of her frock. She does have a prominent profile also. A few black spiders have made the excursion with her so if you're afeared of spiders you may not want Spivy Spiderwack calling on you this Hallows Eve. Spivy herself is 17 inches but measuring her dress tail she is a tad longer. Her arms are wired on and the broom is tied at her bum and knees. A hang-tag with my original limerick is hitched on for the ride. SOLD!!! Texas Bound
YeeeHaw! Junie and Tina have been forstered. They are not in boarding anymore hopefully soon they will get a forever home.

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Keep an eye out chillin'. Mawsee Tombston will be appearing in technicolor before your eyes on ebay soon. Ol Mawsee is the classic crone flying her broomstick.
Materializing for your viewing pleasure is Vahynee Nightshade (Pronounced Viney) and her familiar little cat Minnee in a framework of fall berries, flowers and a plaid pumpkin. Ms Vahynee sits in her festive colors amid the 16-inch autumn Grapevine wreath. Vahynee is 26-inches from the tip of her hat to the train of her dress. Minnee hangs out among the berries hissing and spitting at any Hobb-goblin that comes near. A hang-tag with my original limerick is hitched on for the ride. No pattern was used for this doll she is my own twisted mind design. This OOAK witch, cat and wreath would look bootiful on your Harvest Home this season. AUCTION ENDED SOLD!!

I have groovy gal on e-bay named Vahynee Nightshade. The auction end date is Monday the 17th so check her out... This auction is for Tina and Junie (just look at those faces) 2 beautiful girls who have been passed up several times.
